We have had a wonderful experience working with Amy at Amy College Consulting. One of her first action steps was an experiential activity that she did with my son, husband, and me that helped us unpack what we were thinking as far as priorities and college. This helped us as a family have conversations and allowed us to see each other's perspectives. Since then, she has worked with my son to organize the complicated process. We appreciate Amy and her expertise!

Our family worked with Amy for both of our kid’s college application process. I cannot say enough great things about how much she helped our family through the process. Amy really took the time to work with our kids on their interests and goals and helped guide them appropriately with a tailored approach for each. From keeping us organized, to holding our kids accountable to deadlines and always being available for the many questions we had, she was simply amazing to work with. Highly recommend!

Amy is the best!! From the start of beginning my college process she made everything feel very manageable and less overwhelming. She always answered any questions I would have no matter the importance. Amy took the time to understand my preferences and curate a college list that suited me perfectly. Her and her teams help with essays, applications, dead-lines, and just the overall process made a big difference for me! I always felt that she supported me and genuinely wanted the best for me and I am very appreciative for that and all the time she put in with me!

From the very beginning of the college process, Amy was so helpful! Instead of jumping right into essays, she spent time getting to know me on a personal level and helped me figure out what I wanted to do in the future. Chris is also awesome, he worked with my schedule and he helped my essays so much!

I had no idea where to start with the college process and it was difficult to know who could provide me the right information and who would not judge my progress or ideas and Amy was such a wonderful person to work with to feel free from that burden. I felt more relieved after every session and feel more knowledgeable about the college process. She made me feel more confident as a writer and helped me narrow down the options of what I really want from a college and the effort it would take do accomplish it. For now we are working on college decisions and the financial process of affording college and I hope students continue to learn and work with her in this difficult journey!

Amy Macy is an outstanding college counselor who supports both students and parents. She kept my son accountable while reducing the stress and conflicts that can arise during the college process. She offers a great balance of high expectations, rigor, kindness and respect for her students. Her structured approach and early summer workshop ensured my son was prepared before senior year, making deadlines (almost :)) stress-free. I’m truly grateful for her expertise and compassion.

Working with Amy at Macy College Consulting was a huge help for our family. Amy was super organized and kept our daughter on track with every deadline and requirement. She helped her thoughtfully narrow down her college list by encouraging real research and asking insightful, thought-provoking questions—both to our daughter and to us as parents. Amy was always available for any little question we had, and she introduced us to several schools we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. Her team also gave really helpful essay feedback, and provided interview prep, which took a lot of stress off. We genuinely would have been lost without Amy. She brought clarity, structure, and comfort to what can be an overwhelming process. We’re still waiting to hear back from most schools, but so far we’re 2 for 2! We’re so grateful for Amy and her team and couldn’t recommend them more highly.
